Asan author and attorney, I have had a fondness and appreciation for poetry since I was a very little girl.

To me poetry is one of the most passionate ways to convey emotion; the highs and the lows, the ups and downs of this is life. Whether it’s capturing everyday beauty in the art I see, the characters in life I meet, or the pain of overcoming struggle, I capture it in a poem. 
 

As a poet and orator, I have delivered poetic messages across the United States and have been acknowledged as a forerunner in creating the poetry/spoken word culture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
